Free Up Your Wardrobes And Shop More
Shopping has become one of the most common recreational activities in today’s time. In order to stay up to date with the latest fashion trends and styles, which change almost every month, we have to keep visiting our favorite shopping brands. But in doing so, one of the biggest problems, we face, which we are sure many of you will agree with is- the constant struggle for finding space in your wardrobe. We all constantly struggle to fit all our clothes into our wardrobes and wished there was a way out.
Guess what?? There is a way out, and it’s a noble one- well we are talking about donating and shopping more.
Not many of us are aware of this but there are a lot of charities and organizations where one can donate their used clothes. These organizations help your donated clothes to find their way to people who really need them. You can help by providing people with clean and good clothes for them to make a fresh start in their lives. After all, we do believe that everyone feels great when they dress well!
Why should we donate our clothes?
1. Helping Fellow Human beings
There are various organizations that are working for underprivileged and your donated clothes play a huge role in providing these people with affordable yet good quality clothes. These organizations also provide employment opportunities for people in need of jobs. Imagine, what a pair of old jeans which you don’t use anymore, or that sweater which you have been holding on for too long can mean for these people.
2. Helping Nature!
Another big factor for donating old clothes is the positive role it plays in helping our environment. Recycling old clothes means less waste is being generated as most of the clothes that we throw away, end up in landfills. Landfills are extremely harmful to the environment as they are not only areas for generating greenhouse gases but are spaces of land which are being wasted just to take care of our waste. So by donating, not only will you be helping people, but at the same time, you will be playing an important role in helping the environment.
3. More Space in Your Wardrobe
Finally, donating clothes which you don’t use anymore will help you declutter and create space in your wardrobes for that cute dress or those fancy pants which you have your eye on in your favorite store.
So where should we donate our clothes?
Organizations like Goodwill accept used clothes and are making a positive change for the community. You can donate clothes to Goodwill and be assured that they will be reaching people in your community who genuinely appreciate your donation.
Before donating clothes
Before donating clothes we should keep in mind that they should be in a good condition. Repairing or cleaning clothes which are soiled, torn, ripped, broken zippers, etc. cost these organizations a lot of money before they can actually pass it on to their customers. So make sure that you fix your clothes before donating them.
Happy donating and happy shopping.
