Though everyone waits for summer eagerly so as to get rid of the freezing cold, women wait for summer even more because they get a chance to wear their dear sundresses!

Sundresses are really adorable because they offer a wide range of fashions, patterns, fabrics, designs, colors and what not! This is a garment in which women can truly flaunt their beauty, grace and style. Besides, they are lightweight and hence are extremely comfortable. You can wear them anywhere, casually or formally, in office or on picnic. Moreover they come in wide range of colors and prices.

Since sundress is such a lovable garment it must be taken care of well so that you can flaunt its colors and patterns without problem.

Maintenance of sundresses is a little tricky thing. The most preferred material for a sundress is cotton. And cotton is perhaps the most difficult to maintain. This is because cotton is a natural fiber and hence it is the most prone to wear and tear. It fades out, gets dirty, suffers every possible calamity and finally looks worn out. Cotton absorbs sweat and moisture which also make it unclean. Don’t ever use bleach to remove stain from a cotton sundress. Cotton is prone to lose color fast. Wash cotton sundress in cold water preferably and dry it in shadow after twisting.

Another preferred material for sundress is jersey knit. This is cotton or silk mixed with polyester, modal or spandex.  This material too is extremely adorable because of the comfort and fitting it offers. It is softer when proportion of natural fibers in it is more. Sometimes it is even more preferred to cotton because it requires less maintenance. But you have to take care of pilling it is prone to, for which you can remember not to carry your purse on one shoulder for too long and keep on changing. Other areas more exposed to rubbing also should be taken care of.

Linen too is quite popular material for sundresses. It is more inclined towards luxury because of its specific maintenance requirements. Linen is to be dry-cleaned and ironed at the highest temperature so as to be crease-free. Otherwise it looks badly wrinkled. Linen sundresses are generally the most expensive.

You can save money on the maintenance of linen’s dry cleaning with the help of a dry cleaning kit which enables you to dry-clean at home. Do not starch linen as starch can give the fabric stains or crease.

Thus once you get well-versed with the maintenance of your sundresses you can enjoy them as much as you want throughout the summer.
