Summer is incredible season, full of pleasure and memorable experiences. However, sliding eyeliner, melting makeup or sticky lipstick can make it a little bit difficult to enjoy hot days to the fullest. Humidity and heat are challenging, therefore you need to change your routine when applying makeup.
After moisturizer and before makeup, make some time to smooth on a primer. It will provide you a base for next products. Primers are recommended during summer because you will not feel them as an additional, heavy layer; still they are helpful in holding makeup in place.
You have switched to linen blouse and a breezy skirt? It’s time to lighten the facial makeup, too. If you usually use foundation, swap it for the tinted moisturizer. If you are feeling too exposed, it’s recommended to brush powder foundation over light moisturizer to cover those red areas and blemishes.
Bronzer will make your teeth look whiter, your eyes brighter. When you add a little warmth to your skin, you simply have to look better. Apply bronzer to the higher points: cheekbones, forehead, chin, and nose. If you overdo bronzing, you might end up looking baked and fake.
Be playful with the makeup palette for more summery look. Opt for some vibrant color. Also, go sheer, since deep and rich colors might look too heavy in summer.
Even if you dislike waterproof mascaras, because once upon a time you have found them flaky, crumbly and brittle, keep in mind that today formulas are way better and long-lasting.
Always look for a high quality, pure cosmetics.
Heavy lipsticks can feel like overkill in summer, so women tend to skip them or opt for clear balms. It’s better to switch to tinted lip balms with SPF.
If you want to avoid a slick T-zone, use blotting paper: they are effective, easy and cheap.
